In Short:   I do not intentionally collect information, other than information you may provide in the contact form to ask for assistance. Performance of a Contract: Where  I have entered into a contract with you,  I may process your personal information to fulfill the terms of my contract. Currently I do no freelance/contract work.

Vital Interests:  I may disclose your information where  I believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of my policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which I am involved.

More specifically,  I may need to process your data or share your personal information in the following situations:

Vendors, Consultants and Other Third-Party Service Providers.  I don’t work with these. Unless described in this Policy, I do not share, sell, rent or trade any of your information with third parties. I may share your data with third party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents who perform services for me or on my behalf and require access to such information to do that work (such as your name/email for a roster in a course you take with me). Examples include: payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service and marketing efforts. I also have no control over what WordPress.org collects in assessing how sites built with their application functionality.

2. Do I use cookies and other tracking technologies?

In Short:   I may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information. It is not intentional – it would only be part of how WordPress.org works.

3. How long do I keep your information?

In Short:   I keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

4. How do I keep your information safe?

In Short:   I aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures that are built into WordPress.org. If I retain emails from you, I keep them safe in a secure email account. If you take a course with me, I use the secure system of an LMS, like CANVAS. I am a strong follower of FERPA.

5. Do I collect information from minors?

In Short:   I do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. It is possible a minor might query about classes I teach, but that would be the extent of my connection and I likely woyld never know the contact’s age.

6. What are your privacy rights?

In Short:  You may review, or terminate using, this website at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies.

7. Controls for do-not-track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such,  I do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that  I must follow in the future,  I will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

8. Do  I make updates to this policy?

In Short:  Yes,  I will update this policy as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws and if issues come to my attention.
