Effects
- Alter an object's appearance but not path
- Most Illustrator effects are vector

Filters
- Alter an object path
- Has a gallery too
- Acts like Photoshop filters, with sketching, etc.
Play
- Pathfinder effects: Don't actually affect the path but appear to

Photoshop Effects/filters
- Need to rasterize Illustrator vector object to use

Appearance and Graphic Styles
- Apply multiple fills, strokes, opacity appearance (not path)

Themes (for banner/button concepts)
- Think consistency in color, fonts, layout
- Aim for a put-together look
- Consider the possible audience when brainstorming ideas
Banner/Buttons
