What is a microsite?

A microsite created by StudioBast is a 1-page web site that summarizes what a larger website would cover for much less cost. It can hold a lot of information and show more of your personality or your independent company's identity and branding. It's perfect for:

• Entrepreneurs who are just starting out and need a quick brand/identity
• Individuals who need a web presence and place to consolidate their career links
• Small businesses that need a basic, catchy presence

What can I put in my microsite?

Your best bet will to keep it clean and simple, while reflecting your own style. In other words, don't try to overstuff it.

With that in mind, you can write

• A generous personal or business bio of about 500 words
• A goal/purpose or product statement maxing about 150 words
• Highlight any special expertise in perhaps 3-6 bullet points, and/or
• Use a couple hundred words for something relevant to your business, new enterprise, or job search.

Okay, what do you really mean by low-cost?

While every client will have different needs, and these dictate the time and effort to build your microsite, my goal is to stay below $100 for what you see here. This is anticipating that:

• You provide your own written content
• You provide your own images, and logo if you want one
• You can provide your own resume, your company's product/service sheets, and similar items as Acrobat PDFs
• You provide your own links to whichever career, networking, and affiliation sites you want listed

We discuss colors, design ideas, layout, etc. Then we make it happen quickly and in your budget.

Note: If you do need some help revising your resume for the PDF, we can dp that. Or, if you would like help starting your networking, with LinkedIn and Monster.com, we can help you with that 100. Each of these services would cost an additional 25% of the microsite project price.
