Integrated Visual Communications

Hallo! If you are reading this, then you are in the right place. Which means you are visiting the portfolio portion of this site, and most likely interested in me in relation to prospective contract or permanent employment with your organization, or placement agency.

Essentially, I integrate visual communications at several levels, and I am multi-platform, multi-program, and multi-interested. Starbucks mocha in hand and a creative need ahead, I do pretty much anything (and love learning more).

L.J. - Web Design/Production: I design concepts, wireframe layouts, build working prototypes, code by hand, produce fully-functioning static and semi-dynamic web sites, team up on dynamic/database-driven web projects, and build/plug-in minor dynamic web applications and CMS sites. Sample positions: Sr. Web Producer, Web Designer III, Web Producer/Publisher, Webmaster, UI Designer, Web Specialist, etc.

L.J. - Print Designer: I design/produce print anything. I produce comps, work with bluelines, handle content and graphics, do project prepress, and make the final project happen so we can hold and ooh-and-ahh over it. Sample positions: Sr. Designer, Graphic Designer II & III, Creative Lead, Creative Manager, etc.

L.J. - Project Management: I streamline & improve workflow and projects, am customer-centered, always design toward the business plan, and focus on usability. I like to guide projects and work with people, so we all get the credit and have fun. I have also worked many projects and contracts alone, with little budget, no supervision, and an unerring ability to make it happen fast, right, and within budget. Sample positions: Project Manager, Sr. Project Coordinator, Team Lead, Traffic Coordinator, etc.

L.J. - Communications Creative: I write, market, and handle publication-oriented work. And teach. I write articles, and create/edit web and print content for many of the same projects I have designed/produced. Most recently I teach part-time at Seattle Central Community College. I can represent you on your company blog and forums, and I also can present so conferences and stuff are fun and informative. Sample positions: Content Writer/Producer, Communications Specialist, etc.

Bio

I have design experience in corporate, state, and non-profit fields including education, healthcare, commercial real estate, environment, transportation, advertising, etc. I'm cross-platform and multi-program trained/experienced. Folks I've worked with know me to be team-oriented, solo-working, efficiently creative, and a reliable, versatile problem-solver.

Goals

I'm looking for fun/fast/highly diverse contract and permanent Seattle-based creative positions/projects where I can apply and boost my experience in design, project coordination, marketing communications, and publishing. I enjoy continuous on-the-job learning, opportunities to represent you through professional organizations and conferences, and the chance to travel to your domestic and worldwide offices for projects. I'll consider relocation to somewhere warm, fun, and design-centered, so let's talk!
